Click Fraud Prevention
PPC-Pal uses several methods to preventclick fraud preventions:
1. Automatic IP Blocking for Google Adwords users:
Automatic IP blocking is the most powerful way to prevent click fraud. Once the system blocks the offender's IP, the ad no longer shows on their screen! This is a great way to stop fraudulent clicks.
The click fraud stops right away. You will not lose all or a big portion your daily budget, and you will not have to askGoogle for largerefunds.
You can set up the system to consider a click fraud after the first or second click from the same IP, so the most you can lose is the cost of one two clicks. As soon as the system blocks the IP, you get notified by email/SMS and you can 'unblock' the IP if you wish.
Without setting the Automatic IP Blocker you may lose large sum of money due to repetitive fraudulent clicks.
2. Email/text messages to you so you can block manually
If you prefer to block IP addresses yourself in AdWords, or if you are not using AdWords, PPC-Pal can send you email and/or text messages in real time instead of blocking IP addresses automatically.
You can also choose to encrypt these messages with the world-reknowned GnuPG asymmetric encryption program so that only you know your password and only you can read the contents of the email messages.
3. Warning Images on the offender's screen when clicks are suspicious
Another method used for click fraud prevention is placing a warning image on the screen of the offender, with the hope that the person clicking will realized he is being watched and he will decide to stop.
4. Warning pop ups on the offender's screen when clicks are suspicious
There is an option for 4 levels of warnings. The user can write his own messages up to 4 lines each, or use the following messages provided by PPC-Pal:
Warning level 1: "You have clicked several times on this paid ad.
We appreciate your interest but each click costs the merchant a lot of money.
Please bookmark this page and visit it directly!"
Warning level 2: "You have clicked more than a few times on this paid ad.
Each click costs the merchant a lot of money!
Please bookmark this page and visit it directly!"
Warning level 3: "You have clicked too many times on this paid ad ad.
This may be PPC abuse and it will be reported!"
Warning level 4: "You have clicked too many times on this paid.
Did you know that the merchant pays a lot of money for each click
This may well be PPC abuse and it will be reported!"
5. Posting a message:"Protected by www.ppcsafe.com"
PPC-Pal can help click fraud prevention by showing the message "Protected by www.ppcsafe.com" on the advertiser's landing page. A potential offender will know the site is protected and will be discouraged from clicking on the ad.
