Click Fraud Detection
PPC-Pal is constantly monitoring for clicks on the selected websites and landing pages. Upon detection of a click, the system immediately checks the source of the click.
PPC-Pal's algorithms can tell the difference between a click on a paid ad and a non-ad click, called organic click.
When the click is on a paid ad, the IP of the click is checked. If the IP already exists in the PPC-Pal database, the click fraud detection software checks the user's click fraud settings and then it decides if a click fraud was detected.
The user's settings will also indicate if the 'Automatic IP Blocking' feature was selected. If it was selected, PPC-Pal will block that IP and the offender will not see the ad anymore.
When click fraud is detected, PPC-Pal sends an email/SMS to the user to alert him that a click fraud was detected.
If the Auto Ip blocking feature was selected, the email/SMS notifies the user that PPC-Pal automatically blocked the IP. The user gets the blocked IP information and has the option to unblock the IP.
If the click was detected as an organic click, the data will be presented as part of the reports system of PPC-Pal. It will not be reported as click fraud detection, but as an organic click with all the associated data such as IP, Time, Date, Location, Mobile/PC etc. as can be viewed at the 'Reports' menu tab.
PPC-Pal's click fraud detection is not dependent on JavaScript. Most other companies rely on JavaScript to be on, so if the offender turns his JavaScript off - no click fraud detection can take place.
PPC-Pal is different: we can detect click fraud even when the offender turns his JavaScript off!
